| Welcome to Rock Music Critic! Check out reviews in the Flash menu above or the static links below. This latest version of the site now includes reviews with an embedded music player so you can listen to whole albums once for free courtesy of Lala.com. Lala doesn't always have an album, but when they do I will include the player. What's easier than listening to an album to decide whether you like it? Feel free to ignore my petty ramblings and just listen to the tunes. That's really the whole point anyway. Up the Irons!! ~ George |

 | Six Feet Under | | Graveyard Classics 2 | | | I've never been much of a fan of Six Feet Under. I didn't really care for Cannibal Corpse until after Corpsegrinder took over vocals. To be fair I did pick up Six Feet Under's "Warpath" when it came out, but I really didn't like it.
I was very curious, however, as to how this album would sound. "Graveyard Classics 2" is a cover album, but not just any cover album, it is a cover of the entire AC/DC album "Back in Black." Now I'm an AC/DC fan from back in the day, so this perked my interest.
Unfortunately I don't feel that the music itself is recorded any better than the original. The technology is vastly superior today, but SFU didn't manage to improve upon the musical quality of the original. In which case, why bother?
Brian Johnson (AC/DC vocalist on "Back in Black") has never had a voice that anyone would call pretty, but it is light years better than the lame ass death growl of Chris Barnes. His voice is why I can't tolerate old CC and why I don't like SFU. It is just about the most awful death vox I've ever heard. It's deep and growling and somewhat intelligible, but it has no power behind it and it just doesn't mesh with the music.
I suppose if you are a SFU fan you might find this CD to be an interesting addition to their catalog, but me personally, I'm glad I didn't pay money for it. | TRACKLIST:
