Welcome to Rock Music Critic! Check out reviews in the Flash menu above or the static links below. This latest version of the site now includes reviews with an embedded music player so you can listen to whole albums once for free courtesy of Lala.com. Lala doesn't always have an album, but when they do I will include the player. What's easier than listening to an album to decide whether you like it? Feel free to ignore my petty ramblings and just listen to the tunes. That's really the whole point anyway. Up the Irons!! ~ George

More power metal! There is something about this guys voice that reminds me of the 80's, he must sound like someone I used to listen to, but I cannot place it.

I guess power metal is the best tag for this, not sure what else to call it. But it is not in the same vein as your Hammerfall's or Blind Guardian's, it's not that type of power metal. It's almost like alternative metal.

This isn't really a style that I will find myself coming back to listen to again and again, but that's not an opinion on the album, it's just not really what I reach for these days. But for what it is I think this is a pretty good album. For those who don't like their metal violent and dark, I think this would be a good purchase.

Upon further reflection I wonder if maybe they remind me ever so slightly of Queenryche. Hmm.

I received this along with Shining Fury, and I have to say I prefer this of the two. Shining Fury is a dumb name, but that is offset here by the giant flying seahorses on the cover of this album. Save me from the seahorses, eeeeeek! Heehee.

Yes, this resides somewhere between power/true metal and something else. I could also almost see them grouped with Nevermore (another band I'm not overly fond of.)

Final word: It's not bad.
